Four years ago, in the middle of winter, I wrote a letter to myself on the blog. Reading it again now feels a little strange. It is not just a summary. It is also a record of what I thought my future should look like at the time.

I always thought there was still a long time ahead, and many opportunities in the future. It was only after reading about Maoshengzhou's experiences that I understood a lot. A job resume is not something to be written at graduation, but rather you should write the framework of your future resume in your freshman year, then combine your resume with honing your skills. After achieving results, you can then fill in the resume!

I originally planned to pursue entrepreneurship after graduation, so I felt that things like degrees were not of primary importance to me. Interestingly, a trip to Ma'anshan during the National Day holiday suddenly let me understand some truths. My dream is to follow the path of computer science, and entrepreneurship is one path, but employment is also a path. A very good job is not without its merits compared to starting a business!

So I wrote a new plan for my future, marking the beginning of my resume.

1. With less than two years left, pass the Computer Level 3 exam and the English Level 4 exam (try my best to pass Level 6).

2. After graduation, pursue a bachelor’s degree (Shanghai University of Science and Technology).

3. If conditions allow, try for a master's degree.

4. Enter a large company or enterprise to work in the field of computer science or start my own business.

The road ahead is long and arduous. I don't know if the future will be successful or not, but as long as I put in the effort, I won't have regrets! Come on!

At that time, I was probably a sophomore. Looking back now, that letter feels like both a summary and a new starting point.

In the four years after I wrote it, I passed the Computer Level 3 exam and the English Level 4 exam. I finished my bachelor’s degree. I am also working on a master’s degree now. My job is going fine too. In other words, most of the things I once wrote down actually happened. That part still surprises me a little.

I still need to keep going.

If I were to write another letter to my future self now, I would still hope for a few simple things:

A stable job or career that I can feel proud of.

A house and a car.

A trip to Tibet.

Probably marriage too.

Nothing fancy, just keep moving forward. That is probably enough for now.
