What Should We Do During Our College Years?
It has already been almost half a semester since I entered college. From unfamiliar to familiar, it is not quite like what I imagined at the beginning...
This article was extracted from my early NetEase blog. NetEase Blog is no longer operating, but looking back, these words are still quite interesting, so I decided to move them over as intact as possible. This is mainly kept as a record; after all these years, the quality of the text, images, and links may all have been affected.
This article was originally published on December 13, 2008. I was about 19 years old at the time and was in college.

What should we do during our college years? You could say that almost everything in college depends on yourself. You can muddle through several years in a daze, or you can live each day in a down-to-earth way. It is entirely up to you, and no matter which path you choose, not many people will interfere! Friends are very important. If you believe in friends, make a few close ones. Maybe they will benefit you for life!
I just saw an article called "Eight Indicators for College Students' Career Preparation" and felt it was very well written. I will excerpt some of it. Maybe we can use it as a reference goal for our college years!
*At least three internships or three part-time jobs
*Over four years (three years), get to know at least 150 strangers you can contact. You can become fairly familiar friends with 15 of them and develop 4-5 of them into good mentors and helpful friends.
*Organize or participate in more than three student clubs, student practical activities, or student public welfare development projects: when you organize members, your identity and your personal self are two different personality images. Not everyone is necessarily good at team activities, but do not lose the chance to develop your organizational personality.
*Read 240 extracurricular books
*Visit at least three places you have never been to before
*Try to master 10 rules of worldly wisdom
*Try to write one blog post every week
*Try starting a business onceOriginal image
