Graduation Photos, the Last Memories

Today I went back to school to take graduation photos. Although the atmosphere was supposed to be quite "sad," it was actually a very happy day for me.

This post was extracted from my early NetEase blog. NetEase Blog is no longer operating, but looking back, these words are still quite interesting, so I decided to move them over as intact as possible. It is mainly kept as a record; after all, it is from a long time ago, so the quality of the writing, images, and links may all be affected.

This post was originally published on November 15, 2010. I was about 21 years old at the time and was studying in college.

Today I went back to school to take graduation photos. Although the atmosphere was supposed to be quite "sad," it was actually a very happy day for me. Leaving the workplace and returning to school, seeing the classmates I once spent every day with gave me an indescribable feeling of closeness.

After entering society, it is rare to have relationships like this, unguarded and as close as family. Driven by chains of interest, society will sooner or later become "cold and numb." Only these people who spent every day together are the most precious wealth in life. Ten or twenty years later, when we gather again, perhaps someone will shed tears, not from sadness, but from the emotion of seeing this pure relationship again after having gone through storms and vicissitudes, sighing with feeling that God gave us such a beautiful gift.

I returned to school two days ago to experience the last bit of campus life again. In the morning I went to the cafeteria, at noon to the most familiar restaurant, and in the evening ordered a bowl of rice with toppings. When sleeping, I traded banter with Fatty and Xiao Weizi. Everything was so familiar, so warm. I guess it will be very hard to experience again in the future.

Graduation seems far away, but actually passes in the blink of an eye. Just like the song says, "Back then the sky was always so blue / the days always passed too slowly / you always said graduation was far away / in the blink of an eye we each went our separate ways"…..
