Adobe Advertisement - AE (After Effects) Practice - AE Tutorial

This is my first AE practice piece, made by referring to Li Tao's "The Road to Mastery." I am briefly writing down the production steps for everyone to reference.

This post was extracted from my early NetEase blog. NetEase Blog is no longer operating, but looking back, these words are still quite interesting, so I decided to move them over as intact as possible. It is mainly kept as a record; after all, it is from a long time ago, so the quality of the writing, images, and links may all be affected.

This post was originally published on July 28, 2010. I was about 21 years old at the time and was studying in college.

Materials: ocean video, car video, city video, sky video, and a sequence of images of a dancing person.

Steps:

  1. First is the ocean. Drag the ocean video onto the timeline, then add the Adobe icon. Add displacement mapping, Basic 3D, and glow effects. Then set the movement and scale keyframes, OK.

  2. The car and desert are the same.

  3. For the final shot, add the sky video and icon to the timeline, duplicate one layer for masking, then add displacement mapping. The masked sky layer is transparent, then add the dancing person, and it is done.

  4. Finally, export.
